Michael Eisen

Professor Michael Eisen is a biologist at U.C. Berkeley and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute who works primarily on flies, and whose research encompases evolution, development, genetics, genomics, chemical ecology and behavior. Professor Eisen is a strong proponent of open science, and a co-founder of the Public Library of Science. However, he cites his most important personal trait as being a Red Sox fan.
