Jonas Salk Society: A Special Perk for a Select Group of ACSH Donors

By Thom Golab — Jan 08, 2021
How to become a member of the Jonas Salk Society.

In 2019, the American Council on Science and Health’s Board of Trustees proposed that we identify a core group of especially committed supporters. We were looking for a small group of visionary donors.

Specifically, we wanted to identify people who were willing to go the extra mile in achieving the ACSH mission to support evidence-based science and medicine. Frankly, we were looking for those donors who have decided that it’s time to fight back strongly against junk science and exaggerated health scares.

We have named this select group the Jonas Salk Society. The Jonas Salk Society was founded as a way for our especially motivated and informed supporters to play a bigger role in our endeavors. One of the mechanisms we are using to involve these unique supporters is to have them participate in a monthly online video conference with one of our experts.

One December 15, 2020, we held the first video conference featuring ACSH’s Vice President of Scientific Communications, Dr. Alex Berezow. You can watch the video above (or click here).

Thank you for your interest in ACSH’s work, and I hope you will consider joining ACSH’s Jonas Salk Society.
