I’ve written on the Lancet’s publication, and subsequent retraction of a paper on COVID-19 and hydroxychloroquine and I was hoping this article about the Lancet’s editor might include an explanation and apology. I was mistaken.
What should we make of a scientific journal that has decided that being culturally "woke" is more important than presenting evidence-based reports and opinions? Alas, this is what has become of The Lancet.
The Lancet is a highly respected biomedical journal that rightly carries a lot of clout in the scientific community. That's what makes its recent turn toward sensationalism and clickbait so incredibly odd.
