Dr. Michael Newton is Professor Emeritus of Forest Ecology at Oregon State University College of Forestry, Corvallis, OR.  He has been engaged in forest vegetation management research since 1958, and for over 40 years edited the Forestry section of the Pacific Northwest Weed Management Handbook.
