Ticks are just like us; they need food, and pets and humans alike are the perfect hosts. 

According to the CDC, more than 300,000 people will contract Lyme disease each year, mainly carried by the black-legged tick –– also known as the deer tick, found primarily in the Eastern part of the U.S. and the Midwest.
